Oddly enough, we seem to have had more "ties" than usual in the first round, but in case anyone is unclear about ties, let me state it here again, before it happens....

We have used this same method all 3 years for this contest, and it has always worked well...

In the event of a tie, we use the "points" prediction of the 20th game of each player, and the one who is closest to his team's score will win the tiebreaker for that spot......

and also, it is possible that someone who has 2 ties, could end up tied with someone with NO ties.....We count the standings here, like they do in the NBA.....not like the other contests that go by % or units, therefore, 2 ties, is the same as 1 win and 1 loss.......

Example....

9-9-2, is the same as 10-10....

11-7-2 is the same as 12-8....

So in the event this happens, not likely, but possible, i just wanted everyone to know ahead of time......tiebreaker will be used to decide "seeds" as well....

I think that you mean the way that the NHL count ties! Of course their are no ties in basketball. But everyone gets the picture
